Nick Barendt
Nick is a software developer and would-be entrepreneur. He has developed extensively in the embedded space, for robotics, machine vision, manufacturing, and data acquisition (he was a primary author and technical contributor to the LXI Standard) as well as the cloud (co-founding, BitBacker, Inc., to provide secure, remote data backup using the Amazon Cloud).
Nick consults on Embedded and Cloud development and in his non-existent spare time is working on a startup to help harness cloud computing resources for Electronic Design Automation (EDA). He is proficient in several languages, notably Python, Lua, and C, and practices Test Driven Development, including embedded systems.
