LeanDog offers a variety of Agile focused training courses. Our courses are designed to offer each participant a hands-on experience in order to enhance their learning process. LeanDog also partners with many of the leading thinkers in the agile community to offer their special courses. We have developed an extensive quarterly course schedule that offer individuals the opportunity to select and schedule their training classes. Agile Overview
The purpose of this course is to introduce the basics of Agile and explain how the management style changes with the conversion to Agile. The course begins with a review of the paradigms associated with Waterfall development and how they contrast with the Agile paradigms. The course concludes with a review of the behavioral changes necessary for management to support the Agile Transition. This course is intended to challenge existing beliefs about management and provide practical alternative behaviors which support the Agile Principles. Total honesty is important so managers and subordinates cannot attend the same class. Students are encouraged, to submit issues before class so that they can leave the classroom with an action plan for addressing those issues.
After leaving this class, students will be able to speak to each of the Agile Principles and identify behaviors which they can exhibit which will aid in the Agile Transition.

Agile CBAP Certification Prep
The purpose of this course is to show business analysts how Agile Business Analysis meets the standards of the IIBA’s BABOK. The course begins with an introduction of the BABOK standards. The course includes a description of the Agile activities and techniques and how they implement BABOK processes. The course ends with an assessment of the students’ understanding of both the BABOK and Agile principles. This course is intended to prepare students for both the CBAP exam and the CSM exam. (Note – while this course does satisfy the 21 hour requirement for sitting for the CBAP exam, it does not satisfy the Scrum Alliance requirements for the CSM exam and should be used for CSM study purposes only).

Intro to Scrum
The purpose of this course is to review the basics Agile Scrum practices with the product team and give the team some experience in completing an agile project. The course begins with the history of agile development. The course ends with a review of the specific behaviors expected of an Agile ScrumMaster. This course is intended to give practical experience to those seeking the true experience of Agile Project Management.

PM: Traditional To Agile
The purpose of this course is to provide project managers new to Agile with detailed guidance for daily life in an Agile environment. The class starts with a comparison of the % of time spent performing activities and using skill sets in both traditional and Agile environments. The course ends with an assessment of the project manager’s “toolkit” and generation of a development plan. This course is intended for project managers who have experience in a traditional project management environment. Students are encouraged, to submit issues and questions before class so that they can leave the classroom with an action plan for addressing those issues.

Agile Risk Management
The purpose of this course is to introduce project managers to risk planning and management within the Agile environment. The class begins with a review of the risk planning. The class includes a discussion of the separation of risk planning duties for the Project Manager and for the Development Team. The class ends with practice in creating a Risk Management Plan. This course is intended to show through practical example how to adequately plan for risk in an Agile project.
